My One Word

For several years, I’ve picked a word to ponder, pray over, and use in my life for the whole year.

2012  Beloved -   2011 Tomorrow  -  2010 Yearn  – 2009 Compassion

Each year, the word has really deeply impacted my life.  It’s such a simple way to allow God’s Holy Spirit to use a concentrated area to mold me.  Sometimes it’s hard to create goals that are never attained, but this is attainable and if prayed over, will speak to heart for the entire year.  Better yet, each year the words build on each other and they come to heart in beautiful ways.

If I put together my past 4 years, it reminds me of my quiet times:

  • Tomorrow, I yearn for beloved compassion!”
  • Tomorrow‘s compassion yields a yearning to beLOVED.”
  • Yearn for tomorrow to bring a beloved heart filled with compassion.”

This coming year, I’ve been praying over a word choice.   I’ve wanted it to be positive and be truly reflective of sharing my heart.  I found this scripture a while ago and I used it to create my blog’s focus point.  I have so much  going on in my heart that I want to scream it all out!

I’ve chosen the word ABUNDANCE!

“For out of the

of the heart, the mouth speaks.”

Matthew 12:34

I expect this word to bring me through some upcoming trials.  I will be learning to live more frugally and using our ABUNDANCE to carry us during my husband’s time off work.  A true way to ABUNDANTLY trust in the God’s provisions.  We are already seeing His ABUNDANT plans unfold with miraculous ways.
